Golden State Warriors Abstract Bauhaus-Inspired Squares Poster

from $35.00

Sports art doesn’t need to be in-your-face. It can be elegant, stylish, even thought-provoking. These large-scale modern-style prints can certainly fit in a garage or man cave, but they’re most at home in a dining or living room adorned by thoughtful interior design. With a focus on color and simplicity of design, these Bauhaus-era inspired posters will bring a beautiful flourish to your interior space, and show off your design-forward aesthetics.

One of the oldest franchises in the NBA, the Warriors would begin play in the 1946-47 season in Philadelphia, ultimately moving to San Francisco in 1962 and adopting the Golden State moniker in the 1971-72 season. The early years were ruled by Neil Johnson, who would win the franchise a title in the 1955-56 season, and Wilt Chamberlain who would average an absurd 41.5 points per game during his four and a half year tenure with the team (Including a 50.4 points per game average in 1961-62, a record to this day virtually a lock to never be broken). The Rick Barry years would come beginning in the mid-60’s, and the Warriors would experience the most success they had ever had to date: They would win the Finals in 1974-75 and be a mainstay in the playoffs for over a decade while Barry was in town. The Run-TMC Warriors would make an impact on the league in the early 90’s, as Don Nelson would speed up the tempo with Tim Hardaway, Chris Mullen and Mitch Richmond would prove a famously good but not quite great team. The real ascension for the Warriors, of course, came in 2009 with the drafting of Steph Curry out of Davidson with the 7th overall pick. Curry would of course go on to break every single record for three point shooting ever created, and arguably be the biggest Black Swan Event in the history of the league, as his range has fundamentally altered how players and teams think about three point shooting. Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson would form one of the most dominant teams ever, winning four titles from 2014-15 to 2021-22, as well as a record-breaking 73 wins in the 2015-16 campaign.
