San Antonio Spurs Abstract Bauhaus-Inspired Squares Poster
Sports art doesn’t need to be in-your-face. It can be elegant, stylish, even thought-provoking. These large-scale modern-style prints can certainly fit in a garage or man cave, but they’re most at home in a dining or living room adorned by thoughtful interior design. With a focus on color and simplicity of design, these Bauhaus-era inspired posters will bring a beautiful flourish to your interior space, and show off your design-forward aesthetics.
Beginning play in 1967-68, the Spurs (initially the Dallas Chaparrals) would reach the 1990’s on an unbelievable hot streak, making the playoffs in 18 of 24 seasons, an incredible run. The mid-1980’s would see the team draft The Admiral, David Robinson, and he would single-handedly lift the team up for the better part of a decade. In 1997-98 the team would draft Tim Duncan out of Wake Forest, and the franchise would take another step towards greatness — The Spurs would never again, at least under Duncan, miss the playoffs. Twenty two seasons would come and go, and the team would win five titles in that span, developing a number of stars alongside Duncan - Manu Ginobli, Tony Parker, Kawai Leonard. Greg Popovich would build a legacy as one of the greatest coaches of all time, alongside the greatest power forward of all time, Duncan. Time would eventually, finally, come for Duncan. After his retirement the team would add LeMarcus Aldridge and Dejounte Murray, and eventually 7’6” French standout Victor Wembanyama. As the Spurs move into the future, they’ll look to build on that defined culture of success and look to get back to that championship mountaintop soon.
