New England Patriots "Every Game In History" Data Poster
What better way to show off your fandom of the New England Patriots than this poster that showcases every game the team has ever played (updated through the end of the 2023 season)? Zoomed out this piece works as an almost abstract pixel-style design that can uniquely adorn your classiest of rooms, but up close it becomes a treasure trove of information, documenting every game in history along with the date, opponent and score. Sports art doesn’t have to be shoved into the basement, garage or mancave… It can be thought provoking and elegant, a centerpiece for a gathering place of your home. This high-quality print (available in 24x36 and 12x18 sizes) shows your undying love for the Pats while also bringing class to your living area.
Originally centered in Boston, the Patriots franchise played their first AFL snap in 1960. In 1970 they would join the NFL with the merger, and in 1971 they’d adorn their new ‘New England’ location. For the first 40 years of the franchise, they were a fungible team. Outside of bubbling up in 1985 and 1996 and losing the Super Bowl, the Patriots were forgettable, a team that couldn’t even rise about fourth place for sports teams in their own town. To be a Patriots fan from 1960-2000 meant that you were just watching football mindlessly between Celtics and Bruins games. But after the 1999 season, the Pats moved on from Pete Carroll and chose to hire an embattled ex-Browns head coach named Bill Belichick. They also selected a non-prospect out of Michigan in the sixth round named Tom Brady. Unbeknownst to anyone out there, the Patriots era would soon be upon all of football. Famously, Belichick would stick with Brady, despite the eventual return of Drew Bledsoe from injury, and at the end of the 2001 the team was miraculously holding the Lombardi Trophy. At the time it was one of the most impossible storylines of all time. The team would miss the playoffs the following season (one of only two they would miss for 20 years), but come back and win another title in 2003. And in 2004. Three more titles would come in 2014, 2016, and then 2018. The Patriots would lose three Super Bowls from 2001-2019 as well. The team would be the epitome of consistency and greatness for two decades. In what many would consider the single greatest run in the history of American professional sports, the Patriots were ruthless, perfect, a vice grip on the rest of the league. Brady and Belichick made for the most significant pairing in football history.
