Miami Dolphins "Modern Iconography" Statistical Poster

from $35.00

Sports art doesn’t need to be in-your-face. It can be elegant, stylish, even thought-provoking. These large-scale modern-style prints can certainly fit in a garage or man cave, but they’re most at home in a dining or living room adorned by thoughtful interior design. Created using visual iconography and showcasing historical and statistical data (updated for the 2025 season), these posters tell an elaborate story of the legacy of the Dolphins in a design-forward manner and will undoubtedly enhance any space you choose to display it in.

The Miami Dolphins franchise claim a storied history that includes the inarguable highest of heights that any team has ever experienced in the league. Established in 1966 in the old AFL, the Dolphins hit the ground running immediately upon joining the NFL in 1970, putting up perhaps the greatest 3-5 year stretch that any team has ever seen. Ranking in the top six in both offense and defense for an impressive half decade, the Dolphins would absolutely dominate their competition, winning 10+ games each season, two Super Bowls (1972 & 1973), and famously achieving what no other NFL team had done before or since — run the table en route to a championship. The 1980’s and into the late 1990’s would see similar spoils for the franchise, as Dan Marino and the Phins would compete at the top of the AFC almost every single season, and ultimately established the team’s identity as perhaps the most well-run and consistent organization over the quarter century since the merger. The 2000-2020 run of Dolphins football would turn out to be the most forgettable in their history. The 2006 run with the Wildcat formation would turn out to be the most exciting team Miami had to root for as the organization went through major turnover seemingly every season. In the early 2020’s, however, Tua Tagovailoa arrived, and then Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, followed by Wiz Kid Mike McDaniel. The Miami Dolphins began transforming into a nuclear offense capable of setting land-speed records. Time will tell if this iteration of the team becomes legendary in the same way that some of the Dolphins teams of the past ended up, but this much is true: The Dolphins have given their fans more to root for now than they have since the turn of the century.
