Green Bay Packers Abstract Bauhaus-Inspired Squares Poster

from $35.00

Sports art doesn’t need to be in-your-face. It can be elegant, stylish, even thought-provoking. These large-scale modern-style prints can certainly fit in a garage or man cave, but they’re most at home in a dining or living room adorned by thoughtful interior design. With a focus on color and simplicity of design, these Bauhaus-era inspired posters will bring a beautiful flourish to your interior space, and show off your design-forward aesthetics.

Green Bay has been referred to as Titletown, and it’s hard to argue with it, isn’t it? The Packers played their first season in 1921, a humble beginning where they went 3-2-1. But from there they would grow into a pre-merger behemoth, and eventually into a team simply out-smarted everyone else and made for a model organization that all others desired to emulate. In the NFL Dark Ages, prior to the AFL/NFL merger, it’s safe to say that the Packers ran the show. The team would win nine championships in all, six with Curly Lambeau at the helm, and another three with Vince Lombardi. Lombardi would also famously be the leader of the first two Super Bowl teams in Green Bay, I & II. Bart Starr would be the signal caller for all of those championship runs with Lombardi, establishing an early culture of great quarterback play in Green Bay. A tough stretch through the 70’s and 80’s would eventually give way to the Mike Holmgren era, more famously known as the Brett Favre era, even more famously known as the ‘Green Bay now just has a QB forever’ era. Favre would leave the Packers, at the time, as the agree-upon greatest QB to ever live, a 1996 Super Bowl trophy to prove it. Aaron Rodgers would eventually become a bit of a Looney Tune, but from 2008-2022 it’s safe to say that he was the Packers single greatest weapon year-in and year-out. He too would bring a Super Bowl to the bay (2010), and despite a questionable ending to his tenure, it’s hard to think Packers faithful really hated much of that run. Now Jordan Love — the heir to the heir apparent — seems to be the next great QB in GB. Time will tell if he’s up to the task, but the early results seem to suggest that he sure as hell is.
