Clemson Tigers Football "Modern Iconography" Statistical Poster

from $35.00

Sports art doesn’t need to be in-your-face. It can be elegant, stylish, even thought-provoking. These large-scale modern-style prints can certainly fit in a garage or man cave, but they’re most at home in a dining or living room adorned by thoughtful interior design. Created using visual iconography and showcasing historical and statistical data (updated for the 2024 season), these posters tell an elaborate story of the legacy of the Tigers in a design-forward manner and will undoubtedly enhance any space you choose to display it in.

Beginning play in 1902, and eventually joining the ACC as one of its founding members in 1953, the Clemson Tigers have a history that is rich and storied, and includes several periods of dominance… Though it can be argued that the programs true Golden Age is happening in front of our eyes in the present day. The team would see its first true greatness under the guidance of Head Coach Danny Ford in the 1980’s, as they would win 11 games in 1978; A precursor to eventually rising all the way up in 1981 and winning the National Championship during an undefeated 12-0 season. The team would continue to see high peaks throughout the 1990’s and early 2000’s, going to multiple Peach Bowls, Citrus Bowls and Gator Bowls, but the arrival of Head Coach Dabo Swinney in 2008 changed the trajectory of the program. Instead of challenging for ACC titles and 10 win seasons, the team would begin challenging for National Titles and 13 win seasons. Beginning in 2011 the Tigers would win double digit games every season for twelve straight years, And would go on a streak from 2015-2019 in which they would only lose five games in as many seasons. That stretch would see the team play for the National Championship four times, winning twice. As Clemson moves into the future, Swinney is the key. Can he keep the team on this level, or does that late 2010’s stretch become simply a heater for the program? Clemson fans are sure: This team — this coach — is the real deal.
